ISCUS – The Concept
Learning and teaching in medicine means predominantly a personalized transfer of knowledge and skills: from physician to physician, completed by systematic scientific lecturing. This as well applies to clinical ultrasonography, the fine art of directly looking into the body. Experienced teachers act in concert with trainees in hands-on patient ultrasound examination, and in lecturing.
Where and how can they get together, trainees needing clinical ultrasonography education, and expert teachers?
ISCUS-FF brings the Flying Faculty teachers to the trainees, as close as possible to their own domestic professional environment. This has turned out to be the most efficacious way for know-how transfer in ultrasonography.

Guest Physicians
In addition, an individualized service is arranged for colleagues going abroad (from the trainees perspective) to be trained as guest doctors. Again, ISCUS serves as mediation agency (without any enforceable liability) from trainees to teachers and hospitals prepared to serve as a hosting unit.
